CC Website
Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) is based in New York City, but as a larger entity it represents a network of faculty, alumni, and partner institutions around the world. Wanting to make this network and its constant activity visible, we conceived of and named a website and companion magazine, known as GSAPP CC:. The website unites all "unofficial" correspondence and intellectual production that falls beyond the packaged communication of the school, making it accessible to the GSAPP community and beyond. It is a tool not only to gather the many collaborators and artifacts of thinking and making, but also to distribute and provoke new conversations and uses for production. While the website is a dynamic tool that sucks in and spews out news, the magazine takes that content and curates it in meaningful themes (culled by data analysis from the site) that are memorialized in print.
